I tend to be calm, analytical and independently minded. I question assumptions, look beneath the obvious problem and make complexity coherent, while staying pragmatic about what needs to happen next. I’m collaborative in how I work and exacting about quality, logic and consistency.
I’m particularly drawn to businesses with a distinctive proposition and an experience delivered across several surfaces (digital, physical, human or a mix). Those businesses create more points where promise and delivery can drift apart, and more value in getting the commercial system aligned.
Three things matter to me: integrity, continuous learning, and keeping work in proportion. I want to do what I say I’ll do, keep stretching what I can do, and build a career that adds to a good life rather than replacing it.
I studied Psychology at the University of Edinburgh, which has turned out to be reasonable preparation for a career spent working out why people do what they do. I live in London with my family, and most weekends I’m out on a bike.
